DO'S
ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR...
1. Do get an annual Physical Examination to ensure early detection of most physical problems.
2. Do get Annual dental check ups to ensure good dental care.  Do brush and gargle after each meal and floss teeth daily.
3.  Do learn the name of any medications you are taking what it being taken for and any side effects that may occure or precautions to take while taking medication.  Read labels carefully and follow instructions.
4.  Do get well acquainted with your own body functions.  Know what is normal and you will immediately recognize abormalities.
5.  Do keep special medications on hand for special problems that you may have, such as chronic dymenorrhea (severe menstrual cramps), diabetes, epilepsy asthma, etc.
6.  Do EAT well balanced meals three (3) times a day.
7.  Do exercise or walk at least four ()4) times weekly, if basic physical condition permits.  (Physician's advise)
8.  Do get 6-8 hours of rest each night. 10 hours of rest for children.
9.  Do be aware that smoking causes bad beath, lung cancer and other lung diseases.  Illegal drug use can cause addiction and affect the body and mind negatively in many ways. (Get the facts)
10.  Do go to your Health Center or other health care providers at the earliest sign of illness.  Early diagnosis is early care.
11.  Do discuss personal problems with some one you know you can trust such as a counselor, nurse, or a trusting parent.
12.  Do be aware of AIDS or HIV infections and other (STD's) Sexually Transmissible Diseases.
DONT'S
ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR...
1. Don't wait or delay caring for any problems that may NOT go away,get advice from a Doctor or another Health Care Provider.
2.  Don't neglect good daily oral hygienes.Good hygienes will prevent unneccessary gum disease and/or tooth decay.
3.  Don't ignore any abnormalities, minor problems or symptioms.  They can become major problems.
4.  Don't take any more medicine than what is explicitly written, in the directions nor take medications prescribed for someone else, nor stimulants such as Vivaren, Dexatrim, NoDoz, etc.)  They can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, nervousness and excitability.
5.  Don't let medications for special problems run out.  It can leave you in jeopardy of becoming seriously ill from an illness that can be PREVENTED.
6.  Don't go for long periods of time with out eating.  It can cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, weakness or sometimes blackouts.
7.  Don't exercise unless you have checked with your physician.
8.  Don't neglect your rest, it can cause inability to think clearly, irrability and fatique.
9.  Don't smoke, drink alchololic beverages or abuse drugs.  It can be harmful.
10. Don't neglect early signs of illness.  Prevent many unnecessary hours or days of pain, and/or illness.
11. Don't discuss confidential personal matters with other students.  They may not always keep the matter confidential.
12. Don't have unprotected sex, or use syringe needles that have been used, and don't touch anyone else's body fluids such as blood, vaginal secretion or semen.
